Dennis R. Melby, SHOCK Saves Lives Founder

"SHOCK Saves Lives" has been developed to meet the increasing needs for life saving measures throughout our communities . Public Access Defibrillation Programs are being implemented with the emphasis on responding to an emergency situation. With the technology and the education, you can make a positive difference in the event of a life saving situation. Dennis R. Melby V.N.,DSD Instructor, has been a active professional nurse since 1974. Mr.Melby started his career in emergency care. With strong assets in compassionate patient education his transition into education was inevitable. Mr.Melby received a staff-development certificate from the Board of Nursing, which qualifies him to train nurses. A secondary Teaching Credential enables Mr.Melby to instruct at the vocational level of nursing. Mr.Melby has further expanded his role as a educator by developing and implementing emergency/triage disaster plans. He has coordinated and train personal at a variety of health facilities. Mr.Melby has a passion for teaching and this focus compliments his diverse background.
