SUPPORT MATERIALS & TRAINING: PRICING


SHOCK Saves Lives will supply all of the training manuals necessary to train eight (8) individuals per A.E.D. delivered. The costs associated with training are listed below and are per individual. As mentioned, our monthly service package includes the training and materials for 8 individuals. This price is $55.00 per month, per unit, all inclusive. In addition to the books, cards, training and signage/graphics, the monthly fee includes everything listed below in the section entitled:

Number of students needed to train may vary. Actual number of students required shall be determined by SHOCK Saves Lives, in conjunction with the client, to ensure complete protection.

These solutions include transportation, training materials, textbooks and cards to be distributed to each student. It is our strong recommendation that personnel be equipped with at least a CPR/AED course annually to include the Onsite Service Package and its onsite readiness services; this will ensure that your staff &/or SHOCK Saves Lives team will always be ready in the event of an emergency.

SHOCK Saves Lives Report™ - Monthly email feature from WebAED

  • Provides Alerts to the Program Coordinator to ensure protection when:
    • An AED needs to be checked
    • The consumables need to be replaced
    • Trained personnel certifications need to be renewed or if the number of personnel per location site-specific is below threshold (per hours of operation or even per shift)


AUTOMATED ACTION REQUEST

One of the greatest causes for lives lost in any AED program is if the Equipment is not ready in a sudden emergency. We have been informed of situations where the first response team was ready and trained, the equipment was acquired, but when needed, the batteries or electrode pads had expired and were not ready for use. To keep this from happening, the WebAED™ will email action items requesting the AED Coordinator to perform the below tasks.

  1. Monthly Equipment Status Not Verified
  2. AED Pads Expiring within 90 Days
  3. AED Batteries Expiring within 90 Days
  4. Monthly Training/SHOCK Saves Lives Team Status Not Verified
  5. Training Team Below Readiness Threshold
  6. SHOCK Saves Lives Member Certification Expiring within 90 Days
  7. AED Usage Report Not Filed
  8. Equipment Return to Service Form Not Filed
  9. Service Plan Expiring with 90 Days
  10. Escalating Levels of Alert for Client and SHOCK Saves Lives No response will ultimately prompt SHOCK Saves Lives to call and follow up with the site's AED Coordinator or other the client Key Program Contact to decide the appropriate action to follow to ensure Readiness.

II. Post-Usage Services

The advantage of partnering with SHOCK Saves Lives is the peace of mind that comes with knowing that in any instance SHOCK Saves Lives is there. In the unfortunate event that an AED is used, SHOCK Saves Lives's clinical team will be readily available to provide support and follow through. The key objective with this service is to ensure that SHOCK Saves Lives facilitates proper SHOCK Saves Lives compliance as well as ensure the site is immediately ready for another emergency. The following details the steps taken by SHOCK Saves Lives in the event of a usage:

  1. SHOCK Saves Lives Clinical Team receives immediate notice via phone, email and pager.
    • Once notified, the Clinical Team will guide the appropriate person through the steps necessary to remain calm and compliant.
  2. SHOCK Saves Lives sends a Ready-to-Go Replacement Unit via FedEx along with a packing slip to facilitate shipment of the Used Unit back to SHOCK Saves Lives for review.
    • A Ready-to-Go Unit is defined by being equipped with new Pads and Batteries as well as Testing and Verification process defined above.
    • SHOCK Saves Lives will automatically update the WebAED™ to convey all corresponding changes.
  3. Once the Replacement Unit is received, the AED Coordinator can then exchange the AEDs and drop-ship the used unit for review by the SHOCK Saves Lives Clinical team.
    • Packing slip for return shipment included.
  4. SHOCK Saves Lives Clinical Team will coordinate with the assigned Medical Director a conference call to debrief with the heroic team members that responded at the facility.
  5. SHOCK Saves Lives prepares and sends all necessary reports to the appropriate EMS locations.

III. Annual Corporate SHOCK Saves Lives Report™

Every year, SHOCK Saves Lives will provide the client's Key Program Contact and any other desired members a printed Corporate SHOCK Saves Lives Report™ summarizing the client's state of readiness for all participating sites.

Onsite Service Package

Buying equipment is only the first step in ensuring complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest protection. How you rollout and maintain your program could mean the difference between life and death. This is why SHOCK Saves Lives compliments its Service Plan Offering with Onsite Service Packages. The following is a description of these packages, which we recommend annually:

  • SHOCK Saves Lives Authorized Implementation Specialist ensures program readiness
    • Strategic Site-Specific Assessment
    • Equipment Review & Installation
      • Supervise proper equipment installation per manufacturer & American Heart Association [AHA] guidelines
      • Ensure equipment readiness
      • Ensure proper log of AED serial numbers
      • Ensure proper log Battery and Pad installation and expiration dates
    • Personnel Training
      • SHOCK Saves Lives is an accredited American Heart Association Certified Multi-Regional Training site. Registration and proper log of participants and logistics
      • Deliver training per AHA guidelines, manuals provided
      • SHOCK Saves Lives Implementation Specialist are AHA instructors Using nurses or paramedics to provide an engaging experience
      • AED specific instruction
      • Log personnel trained, by location, by date
    • Marketing Support
      • SHOCK Saves Lives can provide additional marketing support to help generate additional exposure and community awareness

Our web-based infrastructure (WebAED™) tracks your trained employees and their corresponding shifts, sets reminders for follow-up training and can issue training cards upon completion. SHOCK Saves Lives's onsite services thoroughly prepare your personnel to actively participate in your SCA protection plan in emergency situations. This will include mock-drills twice a year.


AVAILABLE CURRICULUM SPECIFICS

  • HeartSaver CPR/AED (4 Hours)
    o Provides thorough training for laypersons in the how-to's of administering CPR and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants also learn how to recognize and respond to signs of major emergencies such as heart attacks, stroke, cardiac arrest (SCA), and obstruction of airways.

  • Emergency Oxygen (1 Hour)
    o Focuses on administering emergency oxygen - a critical step in treating a severe or lifethreatening illness or injury. Includes rescue breathing and use of oxygen delivery devices.

  • First Aid (2 Hours)
    o A comprehensive course in basic first aid that trains participants to deal with emergencies such as SHOCK Saves Lives, burns, strokes, seizures and strains. Includes principles of triage, o Stoppage of bleeding, head-to-toe exams, and treatment of head and neck injuries.

  • Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
    A more specialized program in CPR and use of defibrillators designed for healthcare professionals (licensed and non-licensed), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and other allied health personnel.

  • Manufacturer-Specific AED Training
    o Provides specific training by a SHOCK Saves Lives specialist in the operation of the automatic external defibrillators o Recommended for use with our programs. Includes appropriate training modules.

  • Bloodborne Pathogens (1 Hour)
    o A thorough introduction to bloodborne communicable diseases, with emphasis on recognition, assessment of potential risks, and precautionary practice



Total Program Indemnification - key WebAED™ feature

  • Equipment indemnification is provided by the manufacturer. This is typically $1 million per occurrence , claims per device per year.
  • Enjoy industry leading SCA protection through SHOCK Saves Lives and their Medical Professional Liability policy
    • Requires Compliance with WebAED Guidelines

SHOCK Saves Lives offers a unique ability to indemnify its clients' AED program. SHOCK Saves Lives has obtained Medical Professional Liability in the same limits as above of $1 mil.per device through our relationship with the providers of WebAED™ to indemnify our business practice, which is managing our clients' AED Programs.
